New to Axiom - trying to learn all the controls and what they do.
Tool Set - Enables Z-Axis automatic toolset function Does this function do the same thing as setting the Z axis off the puck. Like the Menu + On/Off tool touch off operations? If not what does it do?
Repeat Machining - Repeat last machining process. Will this repeat the last toolpath that just finished. Some times I will do a clean up pass with the same toolpath. Will this just repeat the last one?
Thanks

AR6 Basic. Just received it Tuesday. I have these buttons at the top of the Pendant controller.

The toolset function lowers the Z until the bit touches the puck. Set puck on spoilboard or top of workpiece, whichever you have set in your program. You might want to lower speed on this function. Toolset speed
Yes, Repeat Machining does redo the last toolpath process. To me it's a toss-up on using this and actually resubmitting my last toolpath. I usually just resend my last toolpath. Where I find it really handy is recutting a single part over and over. Sometimes I'm trying to use up a board cutting small parts. I'll machine one, then move the bit to a clear section, hit Set X-Y, then hit the Repeat button. Repeat until board used up. I'll keep the sample from the first cut to move around the board and find a clear spot. My toolpath start will be set to the bottom left of the part.

Gerry, thank you. That is what I assumed they would do. Question on the Toolset Speed. If the default value is 0.00, what value would you do to slow it down? Would it be a negative value -1.00?

Gerry, never mind. I checked mine this morning and it was set to 600. I have reduced that to 300. Thanks again.

I have my toolset speed set to 150. Slow is ok, because I place the puck NEXT to where the bit XY is, then lower manually until about right, slide the puck under, then hit the Toolset. Takes about 5 seconds, very fast, and I don't crash the bit into the puck.
