Chad feels I probably need a new controller for my 3 yr. old Axiom Pro6. Who has had to replace theirs and where did you get it?
Axiom will sell me one for $ 672.54 or there are many listed on EBAY for between $ 300 and $400. As far as I can tell, all the ebay ones are still in China, so 2-4 weeks to ship. I'm wondering if there is a customs duty or tax here. Where would I find that info.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Good luck if there is a problem with one imported from China. Most warranties make you return the product, at your cost, and no real promise to replace. This is after you've paid all import duties and fees. I wouldn't send $400 to China for anything.

Chad mentioned that there have been a few folks who have purchased controllers from China, with no issues, so far. I'd get it through ebay and pay with PayPal, so there is a little protection with that. They come with the same warranty as they do here. I can buy 2 for the price of one from Axiom. But I hear what you are saying. If I was well off, it would be a no brainer, but I'm not, so I have to consider it.

Redwood, I read your post 'New Issue'. I have the same machine (AR6Pro) as you ... and owned it for about the same time period. I am positive that IF these same issues occur with my machine, it will happen while I am trying to meet a deadline.
I assume you are purchasing the RichAuto A11 controller, correct? Also...why does the firmware update not solve your issue?
Please keep us posted in regards to where you decided to purchase your new controller and if you have any issues once you get up and running. Thnx
