I was surfing Youtube recently and came across this fellow (Inspire Woodcraft) with a neat push stick design. I thought it was pretty cool, so I made one in V-Carve, then in real life. I squared up the heel on the bandsaw. I was inspired by Michael Mezalick's post to post the V-carve 9.01 .crv file and .mmg file in case anyone would like to make or modify one for themselves. Or, scaled down, they may make nice Christmas tree ornaments. It works great, although it seems not quite as comfortable as it could be, but I can't figure out why. Maybe my hand's a little too small for the dimensions I used. If anyone tries it out for themselves, let me know what you think about the fit Pushstick.crv (561 KB) pushstick.mmg (16.17 KB) .

We are very happy with the direction the forum has taken....
Our hope from the beginning was to see customers sharing information, ideas and supporting one another.
Thank you for a sharing a wonderful woodworking project that would be a great CNC project.

I like it! Note that, per the original video, those holes are a "cool design feature" and NOT "finger holes", ...it probably wouldn't be a good idea to use them as such (since you don't want to be "attached" to the push stick if it gets hung up in the blade.)
I'm NOT the "SawStop Safety Nazi" here (and don't have one), but I will admit to thinking that's what they were for before watching the original video from MM.

I agree. While they may LOOK like finger holes, they most definitely should not be used as such. I toyed with the idea of making triangles instead, since the router isn't limited to round holes, but decided against it. Who knows, with a cnc available, I may just start up my own designer push stick line.
