I had this happen to me yesterday for at least the 2nd time. Power flickered and the spindle stopped spinning, but the carriages kept moving, dragging the bit over the work piece. Unfortunately, this happened on a 50" x 20" customers live edge slab. It was in the middle of a 7 hour finishing cut of a 3D model scene. Frustrating for sure. I would much rather everything stop rather then potentially ruining a difficult to replace piece, by dragging a non spinning bit over the workpiece.
I have battery backups for my computer and TV setups. Is there anything reasonable for a 220V setup like the Axiom?

They do make Battery Backup for 220V applications....however, unless they over an AVR feature than small voltage dips may still cause the issue that you are seeing.
What may serve you better is a Voltage Regulator, which evens out those occasional dips and in many applications may cure a number of headaches.
