I’m new here and looking for info. I’m considering purchasing the AR8Pro+ or AR8 Elite. Does anyone here have any experience or information on a post processor from RhinoCAM for either machine? I’ve used Rhino and RhinoCAM for the past few years and am not particularly interested in working with a new software package. Thanks

RhinoCAM works well for me. This was my latest project: The neck has a pinned scarf joint inspired by a book on Japanese joinery- no glue or bolts there.

That is really elegant work, GG...Is that pin a brass tube driven into the "hole" or is it somehow secured otherwise?

Thanks. It's a hollow brass pin. 1/2" OD, 1/4" ID. I tapped one end and added a threaded brass insert. I waxed the exterior, and I can just barely push the pin in using a wooden block and my fingers - Have to use a tap hammer to go the final bit. If the neck ever needs to be removed, I use a long 1/4-20 set screw that pushes against the wood of the bass bout to extract the pin. The second photo was my proof-of-concept using a tapped oak dowel. In concept the guitar functions more like a 'neck-thru' design, yet I can spray the neck and body separately (which is a huge benefit for me). The joint has so much surface area along perfectly aligned grain that it may as well be one long timber. The guitar in the first post hasn't been sprayed yet. I just stained the wood and applied a ZPoxy sealer coat while I wait for warmer weather.

Very nice! I always enjoy seeing innovative ideas. I appreciate the feedback. So, a few questions... •Which machine are you using? •Which version of RhinoCAM? •Which post processor?

Good to know... I’ll be using the 8Pro+ with Rhino6/RhinoCAM 2019. I ordered the machine yesterday and look forward to getting started building my vacuum hold down jigs. Thanks for the info!
