Impressive. I would only worry about the stress it might impose on the gantry.
Is that a Delta Sawbuck in the background?

Is that a Delta Sawbuck in the background? yeah I worry about stress also, but I take it easy on the feed rate and depth of cut to minimize. and yep that is a good old delta sawbuck, shes 20+ years old and still working fine. replaced the brushes once, and periodically clean and lube things on it. I love that saw... had it before my first real tablesaw. do you have one ?

Possibly the first sliding compound miter saw.

sorry to hear your sawbuck was stolen, yeah they are great saws, love it for doing big crown moulding. wonder if they still make them ?
