The other day I was contacted by my local Woodcraft store regarding a lady that was looking for someone to make an urn.  I called her and she sent me the two images below.  She said the first box was available on the internet but the top was not carved.  The second picture is of a table.  She wanted the top to be carved and the box stand up as in the table.  The third picture is of the box that I came up with.  The last picture is a better view of the top.

Looks good. Is the urn accessible from the top being removed or through the bottom? Also, I noticed your centering marks on the 4th photo. I use painters tape which lets me get a finished project without the additional sanding. I do quite a few carvings that have intricate and somewhat shallow cuts and I don't want to lose them to sanding. I like the carving and she should be pleased.

The access is from the back. I ran out of tape Monday and didn't want to go out.

Denatured alcohol will remove pencil marks.

looks great, are you going to paint or stain it ?
