What do you guys do with all the saw dust you make? It goes in the flower bed / natural areas of my yard that my wife doesn't really care about....in all honesty, if you don't mind the light color and it doesn't have too much walnut content, it does serve as a good mulch. Walnut will leech some sort of plant killing schmoo so only put it where you don't want anything to grow.

I put mine in a lawn refuse bag and let the City trash folks haul it out to the big compost pile which is suppose to be separate from regular trash. My neighbor will take some for her flower beds. I would use it as well but I have a ton of sawmilling saw dust which I try to compost in my back yard area. I know some fellows who have constructed cyclone cut burn barrels and they burn it. The City would not be happy with me doing that.

I use some of it for heat in the winter. If you search sawdust heater on youtube, you'll see examples. Easy to build, but, limited heat and they stay "on" for a long time if you make a big one. I make several small ones and put them around the shop for better efficiency, kind of like this:

I put it in egg containers with melted parrafin and use them for fire starters in my wood burning stove

With the amount of sawdust I make, I would need to make one the size of a 55 gal drum LOL

Put a rope inside for a wick and sell them in Texas where everything is bigger haha
I should have mentioned that I gather WOOD chips with a hand broom and set that aside for making the fire starters. I don't think I want what's in the separator, like the MDF and plywood with all that glue.

In the landfill - too much mdf, PT wood, and plastic mixed in for anything else.
