Received my new Pro6 yesterday. Over a couple hours each day yesterday and today I'm completely assembled. Now have to wait for electricians to install new circuit. Machine is straight forward & easy to assemble and did it all by myself with aid of my forklift.

Ok... tell me about the need for a forklift. Necessary? Can it be set up by one person with no forklift?

There is no way one person could lift the entire machine on to the stand. You would need at least 3 or 4 people for that task.

An auto engine A-frame works great. Lift it up with straps and roll the stand right under it......

Hmmmm.... I don’t have a forklift, nor a hoist. Might have to rig a come-along to a roof beam.

I had 2 helpers for AR6, it wasn't too bad.

I did it all by myself. Fat 70 YO mam. The trucker dropped the crate in my garage. I had already built a large work table on casters. The AR8 sat for a day while I put out feelers for help. No friends/family within 100 miles. No help I had to do this my self. Great.... The AR8 sat 8 feet away and on the floor. I took all the packing off and I knew I was in trouble. I pondered the situation. I decided to take my 2 ton grab strap flung it into my 2X12 rafters. Attached to the four corner holes of the AR8. Brought in my SxS (Can-Am) with a 10K lb wench hooked to the straps. Oh forgot to mention I'd detached the AR8 from the shipping pallet. I hoisted it up, just above the work bench. Once the work bench was under the AR8 I lowered my makeshift boom. Success!! Moved the workbench back locked down my caster wheels. Yes a 70 YO man by himself can do it.... :-)
Oh when I was a teenager I did this.....

I neglected to ask Axiom if my AR16 Elite will arrive already ON the stand. I do have a neighborhood welding shop that has a Bobcat with 5' forks that can meet the delivery and carry it into the shop as it comes on the truck, and I know I'll have to (somehow) get it off of a pallet, but beyond that, I have no clue how it's "packaged". Anybody with experience in this?

Not sure about the elite but my 8pro+ came in 2 pieces, had to fork the cnc onto the stand.

Right, my AR8 Pro+ required assembly of the stand, then hoisting the CNC machine from bottom of the delivery pallet to the top of the stand. Note, there are four large rubber grommets that need to be placed exactly over the bolt holes in the stand, for the placement of four securing bolts through the corresponding bolt holes at the corners of the CNC.
I got four young men to come over and do the lifting (the CNC machine weighs about 300 lbs. and I wanted a body on each of the four corners for this. To facilitate alignment of the grommets, I secured them on the stand over the bolt holes with a little hot glue. The guys got the machine hoisted and properly aligned in one try--took about 1 minute.

My AR8 Elite came as described by others above. Stand was in boxes and needed to be assembled. Machine itself was fully assembled and needed set on top of the assembled stand. I went ahead an assembled the stand myself but then spent $175 to hire a local moving company to take machine down 6 steps into my shop and set it onto the stand. Best $175 spent in a while.... FYI: In order to assemble the stand, I had to run a tap through a couple of the threaded holes. Threads were there but bolts wanted to bind up when trying to get them started by hand.

Ugh...sounds like 2 trips with the Bobcat or some standby time while the stand is assembled. Hopefully I can get the freight company nailed down to less than a "four hour window" (which seems to generally get done at the tail end of the window, if then...unless you "aren't there", then they always come early.)
I hate being rushed. Maybe I can go to the freight terminal and take "partial delivery" of just the stand boxes, unload and assemble the stand by myself and have it ready when the machine & Bobcat arrive. That won't fly if everything comes on one pallet.

Mine will be here tomorrow! I'm pretty excited. Don't have a forklift or a hoist. Have two brothers though and the ability to provide the nourishment in the form of beverages.

Update on AR16 Elite stand. The machine arrives mounted to the stand. You'll need a WIDE doorway (or plan on taking out a wall). There's no shagging that 1,400# beast up or down a stairway or through a hallway with a tight turn. Spotted it in the middle of my wide open shop with a Bobcat with 5' forks, spent hours getting it off the pallet (by myself) with cribbing and a 1500# ATV jack. Got it onto its wheels and moved it to the final location.
