Hello all. I have a brand new AR8 Elite. After getting the right fuse in the the control box that was missing, I was able to turn the machine on. I have downloaded the Post for Aspire for the elite models and have double and triple checked all settings on Aspire. I have also checked the limit switch and straightened and tightened the two that were looses and turned. When turning on the machine I first home the XYZ, then I set an origin. I have tried all over the table. After origin is set I use the puck off the material surface, which i Selected in Aspire. When I start the job next, it will move to the home position and then the Z will go all the way back up and start the spindle. It move toward the job but then stop with error 20 code Z soft. I have tried everything I h ave read on forums and no luck.
Also it would have been so helpful for things such as the laser attachment , to have a manual that was actually for the machine I purchased. The wiring for the laser and the control box are completely different than the manual and video that are available. At this point extremely disappointed. One of the things told to me at the trade show I saw this product at was that they inspect and test every machine before it goes out. I truly do not believe that to be the case. If so the tester for mine would have had to put the machine together and test it and then take apart, open the control box and pull one fuse out and then put the cover back on the control box, then back it up. That doesn't make any sense. I continue to have hope that this will work at some point soon. Hopefully I can get in contact with Chad tomorrow. Not much chance on the holiday.
