So I got some new maple plywood manufactured by States Industries, and it is beautiful stuff. B2 grade, but not a flaw on it. 1/2 inch thickness for $52 per sheet. I cut it with new downcut and compression bits from Amana. Not 1 flaw in the cuts. I make clocks, and also have a flat bed UV printer, so can print clocks all day. I edgeband the blanks and print them. Here are some samples. The Axiom has been flawless for me for about 2 years now. I'm real happy with it, and very glad I got the 2x4 foot bed and spindle. Just an unsolicited testimonial.

Here's a quartersawn sycamore clock. A simple design for such a beautiful wood.

Very impressive. thanks for sharing. I am not sure I understand how your printing works, as am not aware of "UV Printing", but will do some reading.

Love the clocks. The colors are great in the first three. And, the grain in the quartersawn sycamore is spectacular. I also wasn't familiar with a UV printer and had to look them up. Does yours print on curved surfaces such as a baseball bat?

There is an attachment that lets it print on curves but I don't have it.
This is a Roland LEF20 printer. It has a print area of 13x20 inches and 4 inches high.

Thank you. Surprised that my graphics design daughter hasn't tried to get me to buy one. It would be a nice tool to have and you show that with your pictures of the clocks.

That printer is some very expensive hardware! How did you acquire that machine?
Clocks are beautiful by the way
