Anyone use these?
Few questions is so:
1. cutting vinyl, how do you hold the vinyl down?
2. setting the Z depth?
3. What else have you cut?
Thanks for any feedback

Good questions. I have the plans to make a dragknife and have a pressure (spring) hold down rig. My oldest daughter has asked me about it and plans to draw up some patterns when things are ready. There might be some information on the Vectric forum.

Just turn the spindle VFD speed to Zero.

Just turn the spindle VFD speed to Zero. Tried this? you mean in the tooling settings? Or the hand controller?

For spindle, I thought I saw a post processor for a drag knife (which I assume leaves the spindle turned off) but turns out it is for the Elite. Might want to ask Axiom if they have one for the other machines.....
My $.02 on holding it down: Vacuum distributed through a (both skins removed) MDF board should hold vinyl. Otherwise spray a sacrificial board with a glue (removable off course, sort of like that on sticky notes) and 'glue' the vinyl down.

Vectric Vcarve has a gadget for the drag knife. Converts all corners to the correct style.

Axiom recommended the same to turn to 0. I used cardboard as the surface and spray adhesive to that. Worked well. Thanks for the input to all

There are sticky mats designed for the Silhouette/CriCut cutting machines that you can buy, in varying amounts of "stick". Here are some on Amazon: link
