On occasion during a long job my machine (Pro series) would stop with spindle running for no apparent reason. I had no response from the handheld, nothing I tried would show any response to my input except turning off the machine. On restart I had the option to resume from where it thinks it lost power and things seem to work fine. This happened several times over a few weeks. Well to make a lone story short an on a hunch I opened the controller box and checked and tightened down all lugs (some a little lose) attached to the controller board and anything else that I could tighten down where wires were attached. I have not had a problem since! Just a thought……

Communication quality is a big deal with DSP controllers.
I'm not sure that I would have thought to go into the control box like you had...good instincts. I will keep that in mind for other machines with similar problems.
