Mines plugged in all of the time in an in a little holder I made for it up on the left side of the gantry where it rides along with every cut and is handy when needed...Nothing fancy just a small wooden block that I used a forester bit on and cut a slot for the wire...used VHB tape to attach...

I think most of us leave it plugged in. Don't think it hurts anything.

I leave mine plugged it at all times. I just use a simple furniture dot to hold it from falling off the top.

I leave my puck in a drawer in my toolbox and never plug it in.
