Hope someone can help me. I'm new to this... I just got AR4pro running and had homed the machine without any problem. After setting a work piece, moved the machine manually on controller to set origin. Problem occurred while moving the machine to the work origin. After pressing the controller's X+ button several times towards the origin it suddenly started to move towards the opposite X- way. I have tried restarting the machine and home it but does not home. The machine tries to go to home position but it keeps on moving X- direction. The machine tries to advance towards X+ but it moves toward X- direction. Is their anyway to fix this or reset this X+ button to move to the correct direction? Please...someone give me an advice...

I had a similar issue with the Y-axis on my AR6. Read thru this thread to see if any of these symptoms sound familiar. axiomprecision.proboards.com/thread/512/axis-moves-directionTrouble shooting ideas that were suggested to me: *Locate the cable that connects the hand-held controller (HHC) to the box. Turn it around (end-for-end) and plug it back in to your HHC and the box. Is your x-axis still behaving incorrectly? *Open your machine to find the stepper boards. Are any of the cables loose that connect to the X and Y stepper boards? *Find the X-axis and Y-axis cables that plug into the X and Y stepper boards. Switch those around.... Plug the X-axis into the Y stepper board and vice versa. Is the x-axis still behaving incorrectly? On my machine, I found a loose wire. Since the wire was not crimped into the plug correctly, it was loose and caused my Y-axis to move in the same direction regardless if I pushed Y- OR Y+. If these troubleshooting ideas don't help, let the group know. Also, you can call Tech Support. They are very helpful in stepping thru the problem with you.

Its FIXED!! As you suggested I went thru checking and reconnecting all X wire connections. Found defect wire leading to X-axis motor inside gantry. Blue wire in center has a cut on vinyl covering but seems like its still connected and might not be the cause... Must be other connections that I went thru reconnecting... Anyway its working now! Thanks so much damonlayne!
