I was approached by a member if the NRA to do some carvings for them. Possibly a future big time business venture. Here was my first piece. Attachments:

Cutting time was 2+ hours with tool changes. Probably a hour + for gel stain and 3 coats of finish. The number of pieces they are talking about are too much for me. It would be a full time job for me just to make these only. Not what I'm looking for.

My CNC users group would likely have people interested in doing it alone or sharing the work if you're interested in sharing the design and contact information.

I did think about that, but really, I'm retired and doing one sign over and over again doesn't appeal to me. Takes all the fun out of it. If you want to give me a quote, I would be happy to pass it on. My sign is 11" in diam. It is out of redwood, but I think it could be out of anything. I can supply the vectric file. This is for "Friends of NRA" the initial quantity spoken about was 1200 pieces, but that could change.

WOW! 1200 pieces! At 2+ hours, that's over 100 days of nonstop routing. They'd better be patient. Would probably pay for a new router, though!

I know someone that might be interested, he has a 4x8 machine with ATC, the cut time would be much lower than the 2 hrs with his machine. Yes, it is a commercial machine he has at his house...overkill.
