I've been wanting to try doing an inlay using the v bit technique for a while. This is my first test, I was surprised at how easy it is, and just how accurate it is. The letter B is about 3 3/4 inches high. I used a 60 degree v bit, and a 1/8 end mill to clear the pockets. Here's the instructions for v carve: www.vectric.com/support/training-material/bonus/vinlay.htmlI used artcam instead of v carve, the result is the same. Best Gary

Wonderful job Gary! Thats a great non traditional use of the v-bits to get those sharp corners.

Awesome inlay! Thanks for posting the link to the instructions. I have been wanting to try this, but I wasn't sure how to proceed.
