I have an AR8 Pro. Can anyone tell me how I can take my project off and on my CNC for epoxy inlays and keep my XY the same? Thank you!!

I assume you may be talking about taking that project off to pour epoxy and use the machine for something else in the meantime while it cures. First of all leave the your reference edges in place. Either use the same reference edges or set others references for the second project. Leave the XY zero set for the epoxy project. Set another XY zero for the second third or forth projects (you can have up to 9 I think). Then after you have done other projects, go back to the zero point that you had set for the epoxy project and run the planing tool path on it. Just make sure you don’t change the xy zero point for the epoxy project or the reference edges that it used. I use the same reference edges for most projects but will change the zero point as needed by selecting other xy zero numbers for those other tasks.

Once I turn the machine off and then go back to it...turn it on...is there a way to get back to that xy zero point for the epoxy project? Do I use the remote manually to get there? Once I am at the correct xy zero for the epoxy project, do I run the next toolpath from there? Just want to make sure the cnc will run from the correct xy zero path. Sorry for all the questions...I've never done this before.

If all you do is turn the machine off and come back later to do the next toolpath on the project, you really don’t really have to do anything. When you turn it on you will have to hit the Origin/OK button to find the home position. Once it has gone to the home position the hit Origin/OK button again and it will go to the XY zero position that you were at previously. Now if you had done another size job after the epoxy job, you should set ot to a different origin number, by pressing the menu and #1 thru 9 to select a different origin point. (For instance showing 3X, 3Y and 3Z on the left side of the controller screen if you had pressed Menu/3). Then when you get ready to go back to the epoxy project, just press Menu button and origin point number that you used for the epoxy job. The origin would revert back to the location that you had set for the epoxy job. Just mount the material at the same place and you can ill be ready to run your next toolpath. (Hope ai didn’t make that sound too confusing) referencing page in the manual.
