AR6Pro owner here. The documentation states this machine's resolution is .004”/1mm. I am using Vectric software and in the options menu their toolpath tolerance is set to .0004”.
Question: Will the AR6Pro mill finer than .004”/.1mm?
For example, I tend to do a lot of multi wood inlays and outlays. I use a .03” TBN for my final finish pass and at times will get wood fiber and glue residue left behind. My solution is to lower Z manually by .1mm/.004” to mill off any remaining residue. The majority of time this works very well. However on occasion there are those times where I really wish I could cheat Z down .05mm/.002” for the final finish pass but am unable to do this manually. My next solution would be in the software where I could move the “model position in material” up by lets say .002 or smaller.
I will of course try this next time but am curious what others might say about this.
