New Machine AR8 Pro V5 and am trying to get first process going. I am new to VCarve Pro and the CNC. Hoping this is something simple I have overlooked. When I run the toolpath preview in VCarve Pro, everything looks to be correct. Preview shows many different pass heights at .1 inches apart. When I get to the CNC and load the file from the flashdrive, the object is larger than what it is dimensionally in VCarve pro and the bit goes much further into the material than I would have expected. For example, one of the sides when carved has a length of 3.75 inches instead of the 1.75 inches in the drawing. I am using the puck for the toolset from material surface after homing all axis and setting XY origin to where it needs to be. (have also tried from bed but same result) I have attached the CRV file I am using below. Any and all guidance on this would be greatly appreciated. Have spent several days trying to resolve this to get my first piece done to no avail. First Cut.crv (249 KB)

What post processor are you using? Can you post the .mmg file?

The post processor would be my first guess also but I wonder if there is a "scale" feature on the AR8 controller. I am relatively new to the AR8 but have several years experience on the Nextwave Shark. I don't remember seeing a scale feature but it sounds vaguely familiar. I haven't done the work around to view version 11.5 files yet so I couldn't look at your design. (I'm still using V10.5) I'm sure you have an .mmg file or the controller wouldn't have recognized it to load it, but Laguna also has an .mmg file type. Just make sure you are using the Axiom mm post processor (even though you may be designing in inches (as I am).

I will double check but I believe the scale setting on the controller was speed related. It is outputting a .mmg file and the controller is seeing it on the flash drive when plugged in. I am also designing in inches while using the Axiom HHC CNC mm post processor. Flash drive is formatted to fat32 16GB.

Solution found... Configuration file was incorrect in the controller. Reached out to support and restoring from the file (data.bak) they sent me solved all the issues.

Glad you found the solution. Just curious, was it loaded incorectly into the Rich Auto at the factory?

Glad you found the solution. Just curious, was it loaded incorectly into the Rich Auto at the factory? I think I had reset it myself when initially browsing through the menu upon setting everything up.
