I am having an issue with my spindle on the IR2. Went to run a job and the spindle started rotating while moving from the origin to the starting point on the carve and than started to stall out. I paused the run and restarted but the spindle did not start back up. I stop the program running completely and returned back to the origin and attempted the run again. Same result. I returned back to the origin position and just tried Spindle only and it would start and than stall out. You can hear a whine within the housing of the spindle but the shaft does not rotate. I received both an er07 and er08.
It was up and running with no issues last week, but having this issue today.
I think the spindle is done for, but just wanted to see if I am overlooking anything.
thanks Eric

It could also be your VFD has died and is not sending the proper voltage. What size spindle?

It is I believe the 800 watt spindle. I am pretty sure it is dead. It starts up and than dies. I looked at the past post about spindle issues and read through those. I really don't believe it is a VFD issue because it is still moving on the x,y, and z axis the correct way.
I have emailed support, just waiting for them to get back to me. Luckily I have two other CNCs that are up and running.
