Hello, I just found this forum and was excited to see people sharing their projects, questions and information, as well as input from Axiom. I've had a Pro 8 since late last year and now incorporate it in some way on every job that I do, from custom cabinetry and furniture, wood art and machining non ferrous metals and engraving mirrors and glass. I incorporated louver doors in this Sapele Mahogany corner cabinet for a client. Being that we are in Hawaii, ventilation is important. Using the Axiom afforded me way more precision and much less chance for false cuts milling the louver pockets than my homemade router jig, which was what I would use in the past. Glad those days are done! The finish is a precatalyzed laquer from M.L. Campbell, I used scissor type hinges to inset the doors. www.dropbox.com/sh/56o995vh5tjl1s3/AAADwzx7UeZItd4DCEgbs0QTa?dl=0

Beautiful work. How much time do you think you save over the template jig? Looks like you need some dust collection.

Thanks redwood. That was a one-off job so not sure of time saved, other than I was free to work on the slats during the brief time it took to run. Didn't bother with the dust boot for this, more chips than dust and short run. I'll post some pics of another louver project too. Do you work with much old growth redwood? Beautiful stuff.
