I purchased the AR8 pro a year ago, it sat in my shop for the last 8 month never used. I just started to use it the last 4 months and have made about 15 items. The issue I`m having is the USB extension adapter the small plastic piece inside has broken and now the 4 connectors wire tabs are showing inside the USB on the controller. So, when i plug my flash drive the controller reads (There is no item in this directory) but I can see there is items when the flash drive is plugged into my computer, also when I just try and run a recent file, I get a message saying can`t open file. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if it`s just the USB extension plug being broken or there is something else going on. I left message with Chad to try and get this resolved, just figured I would ask the question on here as it seems strange, I can't run a recent file by just using the controller without the USB plugged in. Thanks

Thanks It sounds like you're experiencing issues with the USB port on your AR8 Pro CNC controller due to a broken USB extension adapter. This could be the primary cause of the controller not recognizing files on your flash drive and displaying error messages when trying to run recent files. While waiting for assistance from Chad to resolve the issue, it might be worth considering the Monport laser as an alternative solution. The Monport laser is known for its reliability and ease of use, offering high-quality performance at an affordable price point. You can check out the Monport laser product for more information and potentially address your CNC needs with a reliable and user-friendly option. monportlaser.com/collections/co2-laser-engravers/products/monport-40w-lightburn-ready-12-x-8-co2-laser-engraver-cutter-with-fda-approval?sca_ref=5031521.ka374VZjm3
