Hey there I am a new owner of an AR8 . I also have the dust collection arm installed. What I seem to have troubles with are the dust shoe that Axiom sells for this machine. So let me explain what I am experiencing and maybe someone has a solution to my issues.
So today as I was at X=605 and Y=0 so all the way in the front right corner, the hose gets all bound up on the spindle and it tore the hose right out of the dust shoe, with the adaptor attached. The shoe fell down in the back and by a stroke of luck it did not get caught up in the spindle and bit. This luck so to speak happened two times today. How I did not tear things up is a pure miracle. I am using the provided length of hose that came with the over arm dust system. So once this happened I took a close look at the dust shoe and I notice it flexes like crazy and I can see advantages to this flexing . I see it is keeping that stress from causing the spindle to eat those forces.. So today as I was counting my lucky stars I was trying to imagine a way to secure the hose. I am stumped. Also is there a particular brand of hose that is more pliable than others that you may have had success with. I have three different hoses and each one is different. One I got at Wood Workers Source, This particular hose is next level terrible. It wants to contract and it's just weird. I had a real struggle just stretching it to span a distance . I wish I remember the brand but it is just a terrible hose , at least for me. Then I took the piece from my Harvey dust processor and it is a nice piece of hose but it is pretty stiff as compared to what Axiom supplied. Well I have gone on way too long already so any solutions anyone has had for their dust shoe and hose I would be very grateful for any help. Thank you .
