Is it possible to change the way the nob that adjusts spindle speed works? It's finicky and is either too slow or fast. Would be great if it just moved by like 1000 for every click..

Adam,
However, if you could mount a large diameter clear plastic disk on the existing knob without causing damage to the knob, you could then make finer adjustments. I have not tried it for this particular purpose, but it has worked in similar situations for me.
