I saw a jigsaw puzzle cutting board on etsy and thought, "I can do that" so I did for a fun weekend project. Last weekend, I decided to make a fall themed cutting board out of Maple with Yellow Heart, Padauk, Canary Wood, and Mahogany inlay.

Nice! I really like the puzzle board, but I can't tell if it's an inlay, or if the pieces go all the way through. If they are individual pieces, they have a really solid fit!
Either way, they look awesome. Over the years, I've found that I just don't seem to be a great woodworker - haha. I'm jealous of all these great looking projects everyone is doing.

Very nice. Both boards are excellent.

Thanks! The puzzle board isn't inlay. Each piece is a whole piece, but since they interlock, it's an easy glue-up with no clamping. I wouldn't consider myself a great woodworker, either. That's why I've got equipment to make stuff. :-D

The fit on those jigsaw parts is very good. Did you provide any allowance or just 0?
