Newbe question/error Hi all, I just accepted delivery of my AR8 elite. figured out problems to get the spoil bord cut but now I have a new one. When I create a file on vcarve pro and move it to the controller I see that the size of the project is in MM and very small. What am I doing wrong or what have I not changed? the size of this project is roughly 25X35 inches.

View Attachment What am I doing wrong or what have I not changed? the size of this project is roughly 25X35. This sounds like an issue with the wrong unit of measurement set up in your selected post processor or something similar. I had a similar issue in another piece of software when I first started with my CNC machine. In other words, the post processor you have selected (when saving your cut path to a file) believes that the measurements are in millimeters instead of inches. So, for a 35inch wide project, it's going to make the resulting cut 35mm wide instead. I'm not sure exactly where you would need to change this in vcarve, but I believe it's in the machine settings when you go to save your toolpath. That would be my best guess of what's happening.

Hey there I have an AR8 and it should be 610X1210 but the X is actually 605 and the installed spoil board G code won't run , it is written for a 610 X axis. So the machines are set up to keep your machine safe. I tried to move the Stopper on the gantry but all this did was create a situation to where the X axis would hit the little plastic stopper on the gantry . So I put the stopper back in its factory position . Well that I say two cents today .. I hope you have a good time with your machine .
