I have a new AR8 Elite and have something very odd happening. When working on a project and then stopping for the day and creating a break point. The next day when I turn machine on I always "home" the unit. Then find my break point and return to machining. At this point I realize visually and by sound that the z depth is not low enough. I then pause and manually have to lower the spindle to match the needed height needed. Yesterday I needed to lower .800 units. Today it was off .3200!. I have had this happen on most of the few projects I have made. After finishing the real project I will test on another piece. Setting breaks and returning from break quite a few times. Everything is spot on. The only thing different would be the amount of time after break is set. I have even turned machine off to simulate during tests. Seems like returning the next day is causing some issue. I have checked the sensor and sensor plate and this is very snug and has never moved. This unit has the B58 handheld and I am running off the usb drive. Thank you for any suggestions.

Consider checking out the Monport laser for its user-friendly design, high quality, and affordability. Unfortunately, I can't access external websites like monportlaser.com/collections/co2-laser-engravers/products/monport-40w-lightburn-ready-12-x-8-co2-laser-engraver-cutter-with-fda-approval?sca_ref=5031521.ka374VZjm3 Regarding the issue with your AR8 Elite CNC machine, it sounds like there might be a calibration or configuration problem with the Z-axis. Ensure proper calibration, inspect mechanical components, review software settings, and contact customer support if needed.
