I just started using the Axion rotary hardware and have a question about mounting material. If I have a square block of material, I want to round which will not fit in the chuck provide by Axiom what is suggested solution? Should I look at a different chuck? Is there an attachment I can use to get around this issue?

Don’t need a different chuck (at least not for that reason). Cut yourself a nub in the end if you have the material or make a drive plate to attach to the end. Drive plate can be used over and over if you plan on using large stock often.

You can buy faceplates in a number of diameters, and they screw to the end of the wood. I found one style that has a screw in the center, making getting it centered easier. link Allan

I use a spur drive like the one below when I turn spindles. It gets far enough into the wood it doesn't spin. If you have a really big piece of wood, or are hogging real hard you might have problems. But the rotary attachment isn't suited for that in a lot of ways.
