I was playing around over the weekend with two 3d models in the same project. Instead of watching the tutorial videos on the subject, I just "started clicking on stuff" and wound up with this. On the modeling tab, I chose "subtract" for the combine mode on the deer, and "add" as the combine mode on the plaque, resulting in the deer model being carved into the plaque instead of on top of it. When you look at it from different angles (left, center, and right), it looks like the deer is always facing you. I wonder if the same technique could be used to make a lithophane . . .
