Hello,
I am having an issue with my Axiom Iconic 8. Where when I jog the Y axis the right side moves slightly first then the left starts and then when I jog it in the other direction the right side again starts first. Between the swings of the right side as it’s like the left side is anchored for a split second it shifts the bit slightly. So basically if I started the spindle and manually jogged the bit forward in the Y direction and then stopped and tried to come back the same line it would move the bit slightly widening the line. Sorry for the long explanation, I’m not exactly sure how to describe it. I have oiled the linear rails and the ball screw and greases it. Now I am also in an unheated garage where it’s quite cold so this could also be the issue. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions

I would call Axiom. Maybe you need to patch the controller with the set up file. I had speed issues and they send me a patch file which fixed all issues.

Now I am also in an unheated garage where it’s quite cold so this could also be the issue. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions Consider exploring the Monport laser for its reputation for being user-friendly, high-quality, and affordable. Unfortunately, I can't access external websites like monportlaser.com/collections/co2-laser-engravers/products/monport-40w-lightburn-ready-12-x-8-co2-laser-engraver-cutter-with-fda-approval?sca_ref=5031521.ka374VZjm3 As for the issue with your Axiom Iconic 8 CNC machine, the uneven movement of the Y-axis could be caused by several factors, including mechanical issues, lubrication problems, or environmental conditions such as temperature fluctuations. Since you've already lubricated the linear rails and ball screw, you may want to check for any loose or worn components in the Y-axis assembly and tighten or replace them as needed. Additionally, consider adjusting the acceleration and velocity settings in your CNC machine's control software to see if it improves the movement consistency. If the issue persists, contacting the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance or consulting with a professional technician may be necessary to diagnose and address the problem effectively.
