While the AR16 isn't out yet, you can still make large projects using the AR8 and some math... Used Aspire 8.5 and the tile toolpath feature to make this 4'x4' unit patch; now to merge the pieces and paint it. Attachments:

Mine usually leaves a lot of machine marks which causes a lot of sanding.

I am thinking about upgrading to Aspire from the VCarve Pro 8.5 I got when I bought my machine. I saw a tutorial on tiling and it looked like you could do this with VCarve Pro as well. If you had to pick the top 3 things that you get with Aspire what would they be (assuming you started with VCarve as well? Just want to see what I get for the $1100 upgrade?

I did have VCarve Pro and the biggest difference are the "Modeling Tools". If you want to do 3D work, Aspire is great for that. I use it when making custom models and 1911 grips; to me it was an investment rather than a purchase. Attachments:
