While performing pocket cuts or inlay pockets the x & y positioning for the toolpath cut changes on it's own. Sometimes on the 1st cut the x/y positioning will change multiple times. Sometimes you will get several steps before the x/y position changes. X/Y positioning for HOME do not change. Using Vectric Aspire V11
I have restarted both the CNC - Pro v5 - the laptop computer, formatted the USB disc, different USB drives.
No recent software upgrades, no power outages, the machine have performing great till yesterday - managed to wreck a $800 project.

If you are using a dust collector, is it grounded? Have you checked the couplers (aluminum and red/orange plastic part)? Any obstructions on the gantry? Lubed the rails and screws?

Turns out the couplers needed a 1/4-1/2 turn each screw (4) on both axis - thanks

Kevin, Thanks for the update. This provides valuable information for those with similar problems in the future. And Allan, you covered it with an excellent list of relevant items to check. Bob
