I have created a sign using Vetric Aspire in which I have 3D objects with raised writing also . The toolpaths run on the Vetric software and give me the results I am looking for . When I run it on my machine even though the bit height has been set-up with the touch off the bit starts to run about an inch above the material when starting to run my actual toolpath. I would set the actual program but it is too large to attach . What am I doing wrong .. any ideas
Thanks BarryK

Considering the touch off puck is "about an inch" in thickness and your toolpath is running "about an inch" above your material, I would suspect that placement of the touch off puck is not the same as what you have set in Aspire. I would go back into your file and see how you set Z-0. If to spoilboard, then place puck on spoilboard and set Z. If to material surface, then place puck on your material and set Z.
Just a wild guess on my part.

You were right I have set the wrong Z-0 position .. I"M BAD Thanks for your help I believe the culprit might be if you have recently upgraded to v11. After I upgraded, the default settings changed, and I had to change everything to the way that I had it set up in v10.5 and below. It was actually a huge pain in the butt, because files that I created with v11 I had to go through and double-check everything and try to remember what my modified settings were (Z0 location; toolpath strategies (raster or offset); etc).
