On the 2nd pass of a profile cut my Iconic 6 shot right an inch up two and right again. Any idea what would cause this> I slowed the preview down in VCarve Pro 11 and there are no oddities in the tool path. The blue line is the errant path. Attachments:

Post your crv file.

I would imagine it would have to be a mechanical issue, vs a software/G-code issue, since it doesn't appear in the preview. Missed steps (the stepper motors losing their position); loose/broken coupling (the aluminum/plastic piece that connects stepper motor to your ball screws; something blocked the gantry from moving properly (clamps, something around your machine), dust collector hose, etc. Lots of variables.
Try running it again, doing an "air cut", or since that piece of material is ruined, run it again on that to see if it does it again.

Could simply be that your "rapid Z gaps above material" are set incorrectly in the "material setup" form. Too low and the cutter will drag across your work.

Easier to diagnose if you post the crv file.
