Hello all - hoping someone can help me. The Y axis is stuck, X and Z is fine. Was making a grinding sound so I detached the bearing assembly and the motor turns the ball screw fine. I'm assuming with the bearing assembly detached the gantry should slide in the Y position manually..? It will only move +/- about 1/4". I have looked it over as thoroughly as I possibly can and cannot find any blockage. I'm wondering if maybe one of the screws in the prismatic guide may have loosened enough and is what is blocking the gantry..? If it means taking this thing apart to get to it then I need someone who really knows what they are doing. Anyone know of someone in the San Diego area that can work on these? I'm in the middle of a job and now a week behind. Thanks for any help! Chip

I would check the cable guide/track under the bed, I've heard of screws falling out causing the track to fall and block the gantry travel.
