The first time I saw this problem using outline on letters where if the laser starts in a square corner doesn't turn on immediately. I am using Vcarve 10.512 with the latest post-processor. As you can see the "ee" in the word between are incomplete. The whole burn tracks that the start point is in a square corner doesn't turn-on the laser until it changes vector direction. outline_let.mmg (235.4 KB)this is the toolpath file I used from Vcarve. This is a screenshot of what it looks like in Vcarve. Though not very clear you can see the start points are in the intersection of the corner. So is it possible to move these start points in Vcarve for the toolpath? What the heck is going on?

Also if you look at the "d" in the word "and" the start point is at an acute angle (less than 90 degrees) has the same issue.....Is there some setting I am missing in software that is generating bad g-code ? Is the post processor getting confused? I double check on the settings are correct on my controller.

Does it look correct in the Vectric preview? If it does, then it is most likely not a software problem.

Since I couldn't see how I could change the start point in the "Quick Engraving Toolpath". It was recommended to use the profile toolpath instead.
When I used the "profile toolpath" instead of the quick engrave everything works correctly. Odd but this resolved the issue.
