I'm teaching high school students how to use an AR8 with a Hust controller. It would be a wonderful thing to have a laser X locator to standardize their XY work locations. Has anyone written a macro to calc that offset to XY work location? If not, does anyone have guidance about writing macros for the HUST controller?
Many thanks!

Assuming you're doing rectangular flat work and not using up all of the machine bed...have you thought that you might make a 90 degree angled "ell" and attach it to the "lower left" corner of your spoilboard? Every piece to be worked would start off with the bottom left corner "jammed" to that jig, you'd set your "home" to that spot (or just locate it so that it would be a nice "clean" offset from X-0 Y-0 that you'd jog to at the start of each job) and the standardization would be that each piece is designed with the origin in the lower left corner.
