Greetings, For whatever reason, I typically don't work with STL files. I have had my machine for many years now and I decided to work with an STL file. I am not sure what I am doing incorrectly, but I will try to explain.
Jobsetup: Single Sided, 1" thick, Z Zero Position Material Surface, Datum Position, Center. Thats all good. What happens is the bottom of the STL is on the bottom of the material. Obviously, I need to have some board left over.
Shape Height .5 Base Height .125 I have to create a pocket to remove the excess material which I expect.
What I am hopeful to accomplish is having .25" on the bottom after the STL is cut.
Again, it has been so long since I ran an STL that I am missing a few steps I am sure. I have watched quite a number of youtube videos but I haven't seen any addressing the thickness on the board when completed.
Perhaps I am over thinking this.
Thanks for any feedback.
I can send the file if somone would like to play. I would rather not push it out to the public because its for a friend and one of.
Oh, this is a AR8 Pro.

Hi, if you go to the tool path tab and then material setup you can adjust the height of the model and or its position in your material

You might be able to add a zero plane at .25" and keep them merged or add them, that might help.

Gentlemen, I was able to change the Gap above model to 0.00 ad that was the issue. Its time to start working with the STL files again. I truly appreciate your input and guidance.
