Hi there,
yesteray I turned on my AR8 and while I was clamping the material in place, I pressed the home button. It started to travel and I did not realize the cable of the tool set plate (pluck?, the little blue round thing to zero the Z) was in the way...so is started this terrible noise...it took me about 3-5 seconds to react and hit the stop/cancel button....I pressed the X+ and set the cable free..no damage to the cable. So, I decided to start the home operation again...and boy it make a strong sound when the X came to zero...so...I turned off, on...tried...always this sound, like a hammer hitting a metal...well, I said..maybe, something can be callibrated...I navigated the menues and made SURE I did not change anything I did not know what it was....so, I could not find anything, I excited the menu, and THIs time the home operation was VERY fast!!! And the sound when the X reached the left of the gantry was even worse! So...not sure where I went, I switched some speed...and got it to work as before...BUT still that sound.
so I looked closely...rubber stop still on...and then I saw that little metal plate screwed on the top of the rail...I loosened it and just pushed it a little bit to the right....and voila! Home now did NOT make any strange sound anymore...I guess that plate was pushed against the left....I researched the manual, nothing talks about that plate, not even a name in the explosion graph...
But now...I am still left with a VERY FAST Z movement. I do not know how to change that back to what is was before...
any idea? Sorry for all the context but it might be related...
