My Iconic 6 is just a few weeks old. And so far, its been everything I had hoped for - until this morning.
The machine has been functioning flawlessly for the first couple of weeks. This morning, I started it up and homed it, as usual. But when the Y-axis gets to the extreme Y- position, the motor just keeps on grinding.
I cancelled the homing function and took a look underneath at the Y-axis proximity switch. When the gantry gets to the extreme Y- position, the red indicator light on the prox switch does illuminate. So it is reading the proximity sensor. And the sensor does not look to be moved or damaged in any way. Its just not stopping when it gets to the Y- position.
I've shut down the machine and restarted it several times. But I get the same result when I home it. Nothing else on the machine has been changed since I used it on Thursday.
Any ideas ?
UPDATE: Problem solved. The input connection on the back of the machine bed was loose. Everything happy again !
