CNC users come from many different levels of experience concerning PC's. For those of you that are just starting in the world of CNC, I would understand the intimidation surrounding running that first tool-path. However it really is pretty simple.
Please take the time to check out www.Vectric.com for software support and tutorials on creating your tool-paths. Once you have those tool-paths created, then getting the files to your new CNC is quite easy.
Be sure to save your tool-path to a USB flash drive using a Post Processor for the Axiom Precision HHC in your software. Your USB should be no larger than 16GB, and all tool-paths should be saved in the root directory with names not exceeding 6 characters.
You should have your Origin set to match your XY datum in the tool-path. (If you need help creating your ORIGIN, please check out our Creating an ORIGIN thread)
Now at the machine:
Press RUN/PAUSE
Select USB
Scroll down and select the file you wish to run
Verify the settings that are displayed
• Look at the Speed Scale as this relates to your feed rate which can be increased/decreased as the machine is in operation.
• To adjust feed-rate, use Y+ and Y- to increase or decrease in 10% increments. Not to exceed 100% of max feed-rate.
Press OK and after a 3 sec countdown the machine will begin to cut your part.
After the tool-path has ran, the spindle will shut down and the controller will read “User Finished” along the bottom line.
If you are running multiple parts which require you to repeatedly run the same tool-path then you can:
Unload your finished product
Then position your new material
Press RUN/PAUSE
Then select RECENT to find and select file
And your machine will repeat that last process.
As always we hope that this has been enough information to get you started, if you have more question please feel free to contact us through support@axiomtoolgroup.com or leave us a comment through the forum.
