G'day, I have been trying to get my AR6 Pro 4th Axis to work. There were a few issues with the UCCNC A Axis and after putting the correct one the 4th Axis turned. Work with wrapping in VCarve Desktop 10.5, generated a simple fluting exercise on a 100mm cylinder using a swept arc along a number of straight lines as shown: The X axis was wrapped to the A axis with the cylinder's axis as zero. I then saved the toolpath using a number of different "wrapping" post processor - Mach2/3, Avid and the Axiom.. This is the result of run the G-Code, see photo.. I stopped the operation as the cutter would have crashed into the headstock. I have tried a number of different combinations in the setup and PP. In fact, I removed the cutter from the spindle to avoid crashing into the head- or tail stock. Please, has anyone assist me in getting my 4th Axis to work. Thank you Attachments:

This site is not designed for the StoneyCNC, UCCNC Axiom machine. It's for the Axiom Precision, hand controller driven CNC. You may get the answer to your question here, but not likely.

Thanks gerry. I live in Australia and my machine is an Axiom Precision AR6 Pro+ not sure where the StoneyCNC fits in? Perhaps there should be an indication that this site does handling UCCNC controllers. So where can I find assistance please? Regards

The UCCNC controllers that they provide are not available from Axiom in the U.S. Here is their website. They also have a number of YouTube videos out there. It would be a good place to start looking for the support which you seek. This forum will, of course, continue to provide you with a wealth of information (not related to pendants/controllers), so please stick around stoneycnc.co.uk/

Just a shot in the dark here.....when you start a new rotary job in vcarve are you selecting "along Y axis" in the job set up form? I, too, have an AR6Pro with rotary and am wrapping the X axis to the A axis and must select "along Y axis" under "Orientation" in the job set up form. Can't help you with UCCNC but perhaps someone else will chime in with some info for you.

I can tell you joeblow got it right: Change the orientation in the software to wrap around the OTHER axis (if it's X make it Y or vice versa). I have a cylinder that looks just like that so I can tell you this will fix it.
