Dear all, in preparation for an AR8 I am trying to learn in advance as much as I can. So I have a few questions
1. I was in the understanding that the spindle is water cooled, at least I saw that in the past. Now in the specs I can't find it. I also think that there is a new version of the AR8 since I started to looking a year ago....maybe the water cooling is gone?
2. I saw some questions asking about spindle speed. I was in the understanding I can finally set it by software in Vectric (my current CNC uses a router so that setting in Vectric is useless). Is that so?
Thanks

I'm not sure about the new, new models, but for my AR8Pro+....
1. From the Pro V% specs 'Onboard Cooling System Included'
2. Speed is controlled from the front panel, and somewhat from controller (+/- changes). Speed not controlled from GCODE.

Thanks, so cooling is included.
A little bit disappointed not being able to control the speed from the code, though.

I have a AR16, if I set my tool in the library to 12,000 the machine will read and run at 12k. Not sure if the setting is on all controllers. The “read S code” is in the settings to able or disable along with read F code(feed) as that is also pre set to a constant speed. This is with the electro spindle.
