Hello all, I’m really hoping I can find an answer to my problem. I’ll give axiom a call as well but wanted to hear thoughts on this first (I’m sure the support at axiom also reads these?). I purchased my router just about a year ago and it’s an absolute dream. I’ve done so many things with it. However, when I actually need to cut something perfectly square, or just accurate hole alignment (drawer locations on a cabinet side), it’s not square. I recently cut 2 - 16” circles and when you rotate one 90 degrees and place it on the other, they are not the same. Basically my y axis is a 1/16” shorter on that 16” circle. If I cut a rectangle that’s 24” x 30”, the right side (standing at front of machine) is out of square up the 30” side. I noticed this slightly when I first set it up, and called them. They basically mentioned that it’s super rare, and the only way to solve it is to loosen the cars on the y axis rails and tap them very lightly. Like, to the point you wouldn’t even be able to see it moving because a tiny tap can go a long way. I loosened, tapped, made a test cut. The exact same result. I got busy with projects, and now here I am, actually needing to cut perfect squares with a pretty spendy piece of equipment that’s main purpose is to do exactly that, and I can’t. Anyone else have this issue? The router has exceeded my expectations in so many other ways when the 1/32, or 1/16” won’t really matter.
Thanks to anyone who takes the time to chime in!

Your steps may need to be calibrated, or you controller needs to be flashed with good values. In either case, contact Axiom. One of your first setup tests should be squares, rectangles, and circles.
