Hi,
My name is Rick and I just submitted my order for an Iconic 4. This was a purchase long in coming and probably way over-analyzed before I finally pushed the "place order" button today.
Nearing retirement, this machine will be central to my beloved hobby of designing/making electronic audio devices like amplifiers and speakers. That hobby will mostly entail 2D machining of aluminum plate for the various shaped holes needed to mount parts on a control panel or for precision making the flat panels to assemble a loudspeaker enclosure.
I'm a total beginner but I do know how to figure out software (I bought VCarve desktop). And I know tools for metal and wood work, but never CNC.
I'm kind of nervous about the learning curve to get my first 2D panel cut. I'm hoping you guys/gals can throw me a life preserver now and then!
Rick
