Yes. For dust collection 'bigger' (motor, impeller, duct size, etc, etc) is always better.

What is your plan for emptying the barrel? You might consider losing the pallet, putting it on the floor and making up the distance with a short piece of flex hose. If you "stretch" the hose to get the cone attached to the barrel, then you can simply unclamp the barrel lid and slide the barrel out from under the machine without disconnecting/unsealing anything else. If your hose clamps are tight, you ought to be able to let the hose & lid just hang until you get the barrel back in place.

Yep - that's what I did. Unhook the lid and out it goes.

All I need to do at this point in undo the barrel clamp and it pulls right out. The pallet is actually not butting the lid to the cyclone. There is a little space under it. I tested it and it just pulls out without any drama . I could see why you thought that though. Thanks for your input . I may modify my lid, so I can just add a flex hose at the bottom. Thats a great idea

Yep - that's what I did. Unhook the lid and out it goes. Nice looking set up
