My mother absolutely loves watching and feeding the variety of local birds here in central Indiana. We have a small private family campground (3 permanent sites) on a couple acres of land with another 5 acres in a lake on the property. We have a plethora of birds that call our place home. I don't know... maybe they just call it their favorite restaurant, but either way, my mom is in heaven making sure the birds always have food available. She has a bunch of little feeders that occassionally get blown away or destroyed by the critters, so I decided to make her a big one that could be pole mounted and would be pretty stable. I just got it done in time to give to her, but I didn't get it finished (painted or stained, that is). I also wanted her to be able to use a color scheme she liked.
Anyway, it's pretty good sized... the roof panels are 21.5" long. Probably gonna take a five pound bag of seed to fill the thing, but she won't have to fill every other day.
