My old Shark cnc used a computer to run the controller software. I found it pretty easy to use and was quite intuitive. I am upgrading to the AR-8 and am wondering if it will be difficult to learn the pendant controller functions. I looked at the online manual and it seemed very different. Thanks.

I started with a Shark, then bought a different machine , now I'm learning how to run the Axiom machines. Not more complicated, just different.. You'll be fine if you take your time. Michael

provolone... I often use the analogy that swapping controllers is like buying a new car or truck. You don't know where the controls are located and their labels or names seem foreign.... at first. Nothing looks the same. The reality is that you do know how to drive that car, it just takes a few days of driving it to train your brain how to work the radio, wipers and lights.

Gary, that's a very insightful analogy.
I may have to steal that one.

In some cases, however, you have to deal with the clutch, gas pedal, brake, and emergency brake not being in the "expected relative locations" either.
