I made these notebook covers a while back, and decided I wanted to add an inlay. The problem was the material is only .16” thick. The solution, I put a backer board on the cover first with double sided tape, then cut the inlay at .14”. This was done with the white side 60 degree 1/4 inch bit. The wings are maple and the cover is walnut. Needless to say I was pretty nervous but it worked out.
